FEB 23 5:30 PM (ALASKA) JAN 29-MS. HANH
After leaving the kindergarten, we traversed narrow, rural roads to pop in on a few folks that I make sure to visit on each trip.
I know that you remember Ms. Hanh, the always-smiling, sweet lady who was born with no arms. She walked out to the road to greet us on arrival and escorted us down the trail to her house. Her sister, who is usually there, was absent this time. It was her sister who picked up chickens at our Jan 26 distribution. Ms. Hanh showed us her pigs and chickens, which were provided by your contributions. I checked her refrigerator, which has survived a couple floods, and her shower/demand water heater. We sat and visited for a bit, dropping off some packaged cakes as a little treat.
As always, Ms. Hahn walked us to the road and smiled as we drove off. She is so darned sweet.
